CVC Capital Partners Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge

The CVC Capital Partners Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge provides an opportunity for Enactus United States teams to showcase how they are empowering young people in the U.S. with the skills, knowledge and resources they need to start a successful business or improve an existing business. We’re looking for projects that see entrepreneurship as a sustainable, scalable solution for youth empowerment while driving economic growth and job creation.

Project Timeline
The project submitted for this Challenge may be completed any time between May 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017. 

All enrolled Enactus teams in the United States are eligible to enter U.S-based projects.

How to Enter
Students must be registered with Enactus and have permissions assigned by their Enactus faculty advisor to submit an Impact Entry. View the main Challenge page for permission instructions. 

Please ensure that your Impact Entry form is well-written, using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. Your descriptions should be clear and concise. Content from this submission may be judged by representatives from CVC Capital Partners.

After the entry is submitted, please review the email confirmation. You may log back in to make changes up until the entry deadline, if necessary. Enactus will retain the last entry submitted within the deadline. Entries must be completed by March 31, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. CT. Submissions received after this time will not be considered.





Judging Criteria
How effectively did the Enactus team empower young people in the U.S. with the skills, knowledge and resources they need to start up successful businesses?

Each team will be evaluated on the following:

  • How effectively does the team articulate specific need(s) of the target audience?
  • How well did the team take entrepreneurial action & execute a project that responded to the needs identified?
  • How effectively did the team empower young entrepreneurs to improve their livelihoods?
  • How feasible is the sustainability and scalability of the project?

The top three teams will be selected to receive a Grand Prize Award and will be recognized at the 2017 Enactus United States National Exposition.

  • National First Place: $7,500 & Trophy
  • National Second Place: $3,500 & Trophy
  • National Third Place: $2,000 & Trophy
  • Two (2) Finalists: $1,000 & Plaque each
